Follow the short or long story of the Navigator and the Recovery Journey of “Come to the Table”.

I thought I was writing songs. Turns out, I was writing a recovery map.

The fear. The food rules. The pushback. The moments when you start trusting yourself and taking up space again.

Looking at Come to the Table as a whole, I could finally see how the pieces connected.

Apparently, my brain knew what I was making before I did. 😂

Meet the Navigator. They’re curious. And they’ve seen some shit.
Watching. Listening. Trying to understand. Looking for connections—even when they’re afraid of what they might discover.
As I stepped back from the songs, coloring pages, and journal prompts in Come to the Table, I began to see who had been moving through the story all along.
But the important thing about this character isn’t what they look like.
It’s what they’re trying desperately not to lose.
That’s where we’re going next.

What’s the Navigator trying desperately not to lose?

Themselves.

Their wants. Their needs. Their preferences. Some part of their life that still belongs to them.

But when you stuff down, starve, or purge yourself out of the picture, you can start to believe that what’s left is you.

And protecting that shrunk self feels like survival.

So how do you recover when letting go feels like stepping into the unknown?

This is part 3 of the story I didn’t realize I was telling in Come to the Table.
